Just a quick one.

In answer to the big problem of acieving decent u-values AND airtightness whilst still using a products with ‘green’ credentials. I believe that this is definately worth a look. Airtight, breathable, 50% soy based foam. This stuff fills up all the little gaps, that would be impossible to do convensionally, and does away with the need to use a membrane.

After having now done assessments on several houses in the 5 years plus old bracket; it is clear to see that significant improvements can be made to this age band through a few simple upgrades. This can of course lead to an improved rating, but what everyone should also consider is that this also represents saving on the annual heating and hot water bill. [...more]
